Saturday I and my friend Melanie had the privilege of attending a bread class put on by the writer of treasures of healthy living. It was fabulous . The bread she made was so delicious.
One of the things she shared was so outstanding and such a realization of why we are all so sick in America.
the amount of nutrients lost in bread because they want to sit on the self and not go bad , which if you haven't noticed it doesn't mold , that is grossing me out food is meant to go bad not sit for months. yuck!
here are some facts:
milled whole wheat flour has Lost in white flour
Thiamine (B-1) 77%
Riboflavin(B2 67%
Niacin B3 81%
Vitamin E 86 %
Fiber 89%
This is just part of the list of what we lack in our diets from eating processed bread .
Making bread is so enjoyable and it cost soooo much less . It cost around $1 a loaf. I pay almost 4 for what i hope is real whole wheat which it isn't really and it has so much junk added it doesn't mold. so i wonder what it does in my body???
pictures to come.
So, is the whole wheat flour we buy in stores just as bad for us?
